Supply chain transparency

Acting Transparent
We believe that transparency is fundamental to sustainable practices. Transparency allows us to demonstrate our commitment to responsibility. Through transparency, we empower consumers to act consciously and make sustainable consumption choices.
The political background
Over the past few years, Lisa Jaspers of Folkdays Berlin campaigned for a law on corporate due diligence with her petition #fairbylaw. On November 27, 2019, the petition for a legal regulation of supply chain transparency was officially submitted to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS). In February 2021, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, together with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, agreed on a draft supply chain law. The draft law was adopted by the Federal Cabinet on March 3. The #fairbylaw initiative bases its argument for the necessity of a comprehensive supply chain law on the dramatic example of the Rana Plaza disaster. On April 24, 2013, the dilapidated Rana Plaza textile factory in Bangladesh collapsed. More than 1,100 workers died, and more than 2,000 others were injured. The current draft does too little to change the economic and political framework that prevents such tragedies from happening. Petition regulation supply chain transparency

We are one step ahead
We are strong advocates of a supply chain law and are pleased that a political solution will be found (albeit with significant shortcomings) that holds all (fashion) companies accountable. However, we believe it is far more important to take responsibility ourselves and do better.

More transparency with Retraced
We asked ourselves how we could visualize our supply chain and make it transparent for everyone. For us as a company, to discover opportunities for improvement and work on ourselves. And for our customers, to give them greater control.
Through Retraced, INASKA becomes traceable. For each of our products, from the rubber to the sewing thread, we disclose the origin, manufacturer, and production conditions on our website and provide certificates. This allows our customers to view our entire manufacturing process at a glance and, of course, delve deeper into the details. If the German fashion market fully embraced responsibility for people and the environment, in a better world, no company would have to fear being held liable for environmental and human rights violations.
